A little curiosity.
A few side projects.

Things I’ve built for the fun of it. A place to explore ideas, play with interfaces, and follow my interests.

01 / RICK & MORTY

Portal Index

An interactive Rick and Morty universe explorer. Search characters by name, filter by status, and explore character dossiers and episode appearances—or discover someone new with a random pick.

A dark, responsive interface with neon-green accents and an animated portal brings the multiverse to life. Slightly less dangerous than traveling with Rick.

02 / MUSIC & DISCOVERY

The Crate

Music discovery and playlist building inspired by flipping through vinyl. Explore a 3D album shelf or grid view, browse tracks, and assemble your next playlist.

Connect Spotify to explore saved albums, search for music, and save playlists to your account. Secure authentication and server-side API integration power the connection; demo mode lets you explore without signing in.

03 / FOOTBALL & ANALYTICS

Drive Lab

An interactive NFL play-by-play explorer that brings game data to life. Explore matchups, follow drives on an animated football field, and break down individual plays with playback controls and situational filters.

Powered by nflverse play-by-play data and deployed on Vercel. Relive the Philadelphia Eagles’ 2024 championship season. Go Birds!

04 / BOOKS & DISCOVERY

Shelf Esteem

A book discovery app for your current plot twist. Describe your reading mood or pick a theme—from a soft reset to your villain era—and save interesting finds to your personal shelf.

Explore editorial picks or choose AI-assisted discovery with source retrieval. Check the descriptions behind recommendations, with Open Library catalog integration and a little literary wit. Character development sold separately.

Builder by trade.
Curious by default.

I’m Baron. Senior software engineer, technical lead, and founder of DossX.

I’ve spent 18+ years building and modernizing production software, from federal systems and national retail to cloud platforms and AI. I lead teams, mentor engineers, and stay close to the code. I hold a B.S. in Computer Science from Southern Methodist University.

My approach is straightforward: understand what matters, challenge unnecessary complexity, and build something useful. Away from the keyboard, you’ll usually find me on a Harley.
